CLARA JUNG

“A vintage piece adds character, it’s a special facet of a space that can't be easily replicated and is unique to the project.”

Clara Jung, founder of San Francisco interiors firm Banner Day, considers it their mission to provide clients with a sense of happiness and wellness in their space. “We balance traditional interiors with signature color, pattern and whimsy,” says Jung. Her many residential projects throughout the Bay Area are designed to both “spark joy and reflect the client’s personal style.”

“I liked that it had strong mid century modern bones, clean lines, and was extremely comfortable!” says Jung of the vintage chair she selected. “To ensure it had the whimsy we're known for, I leaned into a mix of patterns. Verdure Tapestry is a fabric I've been drawn to for quite a while.”

Jung shares that part of her firm’s mission is to convey the narrative of both the home and the client, noting “I'm a firm believer that story is deepened and made profoundly more meaningful with vintage and antique pieces.”
