Restoring an Antique Secretary Desk

 

Time and constant use had taken its toll on this sentimental heirloom. We worked with our client to restore the desk to its original condition with a few 21st century improvements. Learn more about this project here.

We refinished the desk to its original dark mahogany wood stain. Missing carved details were replaced, and broken hinges and sticky drawer glides were repaired. To make this sentimental desk more functional, we added discrete holes for electric cables and chargers.
